Second innings beckons women
After a five-month mid-career pregnancy break, HR professional Niti Tiwary wanted to get back to work. “It was backed by two factors. I looked at my life five years hence and I found myself very unhappy without work,” she said.
Tiwary represents those well-educated women who want to return to work after they quit to focus on children or some other responsibility at home. “The fact that a double income would mean a better life for my child was also a driving force. My husband was very supportive and encouraged me to go back to work. Even when I resumed work, there was no pressure from the organization,” said Tiwary.
